Lisarow-Ourimbah Cricket Club
Lisarow-Ourimbah Cricket Club was the Original Cricket Club established in 1858 on the Central Coast. (See History – Ourimbah Cricket Club and Lisarow Cricket Club) We have a proud tradition and rich history from these early days that continue to be reflected by the players and club members of the present day.
Lisarow-Ourimbah Cricket Club was formed when the Lisarow and Ourimbah Cricket Clubs merged after World War II had ended in 1945. They first entered teams in the 1946/47 Season of the Gosford District Cricket Association Competition. Since then the club has been successful in winning many Premierships and Club Championships to make it one of the most successful clubs on the Central Coast.
Lisarow-Ourimbah Cricket Club is known as the Mighty Magpies and is now one of the largest cricket clubs on the Central Coast. Our colours are black and white and come from the colours of the local magpie. We are a friendly, family orientated club that nurtures our juniors from Milo Cricket through to their senior playing years.
The club aims to provide all cricketers from the local areas of Lisarow, Niagara Park, Ourimbah, Tuggerah, Fountaindale, Chittaway, Glenning Valley and Berkeley Vale with the opportunity to develop their skills of cricket by playing in a suitable team with their family, friends or in a competitive cricket team.
Our grounds are the best on The Central Coast with one turf field and two synthetic fields. Our club training facilities are first class with three extra large fully enclosed practice nets surfaced with the latest world-class synthetic batting pitch and bowling run-up material by Eagle Turf. In addition there is a fourth practice net that is always open for public use.
We have use of a modern club house with the best canteen facilities on the coast operating all day every Saturday for all our junior and senior home games. In the afternoon it is fully licensed to watch the Match of the Day as well as for those after match refreshments.
So come and join the Mighty Magpies for a great season of cricket!
